At all of the Cheli & Peacock properties, we ensure that nearby communities receive a tangible benefit from tourism.  We support local schools and clinics, take clients to visit villages where they often purchase locally made gifts, employ and train local staff, procure vegetables and woodwork from local suppliers and over the years have opened up new areas for tourism, bringing revenue to struggling conservation areas and marginalized communities.

The Cheli & Peacock Community Trust was started in 2010 to formalize existing community and conservation efforts being made, both at our properties and on a group level. The structure of the trust enables us to track and manage specifically earmarked donations, project expenditure and communication with our donors.  In order to facilitate the donor, we are working on tax-free donation status and online overseas payment options.

We have employed a dedicated full-time Project Manager, Chania Frost, to run the trust and support these projects, who will also be posting updates on Twitter and Facebook. For up to date information on all the projects we are running, please follow the links below.
