Our support for the East African Women's League:
The East Africa Womens League (EAWL) has been operating as a voluntary women's organization for almost 100 years. It is a non profit-making, non political, non denominational, non racial, charitable organization whose aim is to help improve the welfare of women and children in Kenya.
EAWL supports many small grass roots projects throughout Kenya, including fund-raising, charity-monitoring and account management to ensure the accountability of all funds. Cheli & Peacock supports EAWL fundraising events and is currently donating all the money we raise through sending our glass to the recycling plant in Nairobi towards family planning initiatives near Lake Naivasha.
Are you keen to donate supplies to the schools and clinics near the camps you are staying at during your safari? Visit the Pack for a Purpose website for comprehensive information on what is most needed by the rural communities as well as recommendations of how best to bring the goods to Kenya.
Visit the C&P Community Trust Facebook site for regular updates and photos of the projects you decide to donate towards.
