This safari operates with a minimum of 4 people and
a maximum of 10
DAY 1 SAMBURU INTREPIDS, Samburu National Reserve
On arrival in Nairobi you will be met by your qualified,
professional safari guide who will accompany you throughout
the safari. Commence the journey by road in our specially
customized luxury 4WD safari vehicle taking you through
wonderful everchanging terrains. Lunch is a short stopover
at a delightful restaurant just outside Nanyuki, before
the short drive to Samburu, home for elephants, lions and
an abundance of game.
DAY 2 SAMBURU INTREPIDS
After an early wake up call, spend the day exploring Samburu & Buffalo
Springs National Reserves. After lunch and an afternoon
at leisure, take an evening game drive before returning
to camp for dinner. The river here is the arterial lifeline
for many endemic species e.g. Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s
Zebra, Gerenuk and Oryx.
DAY 3 SABUK LODGE, Laikipia
Depart from camp early in the morning, with a picnic lunch,
for a 5-hour drive through dramatic semi-desert countryside,
arriving at Sabuk, on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.
Relax, maybe swim in the river or just enjoy the uninterrupted
view across the Laikipia plains. Enjoy an early evening
bush sundowner or a short walk from camp, watching the
sun set behind the hills. The elusive Greater Kudu and
large Elephant herds can be seen on the walks.
DAY 4 SABUK LODGE
Set off in the cool early morning for a walk or ride
with camels. Led by a professional safari guide and his
team of trained Masai trekkers, the walk takes you across
the hills with glimpses of the Ewaso Nyiro river. Brunch
is under the acacia trees. Take an afternoon swim in a
natural rock pool. Return to Sabuk Lodge for campfire sundowners
and dinner.
DAY 5 SABUK FLY CAMP
The day will be spent walking with and / or riding a
camel assisted safari. Your guide and professional crew
of Samburu warriors will accompany you and set up a fly
camp for 1 night along the dramatic gorges of the tumbling
Ewaso Nyiro River. The trek is easy and great for inquisitive
family groups wishing to learn more about bushcraft and
its natural inhabitants at close quarters.
DAY 6 LION HILL, Lake Nakuru
Returning back to the Sabuk lodge just after sunrise
and a hearty bush breakfast we then depart and drive down
the escarpments and across to the Rift Valley, arriving
at Lion Hill in time for lunch. World famous for its millions
of shimmering pink flamingoes; Lake Nakuru is an ornithologists’ mecca.
Flotillas of Pelicans swimming by, hundreds of storks,
herons and egrets add to this natural menagerie of colour.
The park is also one of the few reserves left where one
can see both Black & White Rhinos in the wild. Together
with lurking Lions, Giraffes and Leopards, Lake Nakuru
provides excellent game viewing amongst the yellow–barked
acacia forests.
DAY 7 ELEPHANT PEPPER CAMP, Masai Mara
After an early start from Lion Hill, we drive slowly up
the other side of the Rift Valley onto the Mau Escarpment
and through the verdant tea growing zones of Kericho. We
make a gentle descent down to the Masai Mara, arriving
in camp for lunch. Elephant Pepper camp is at a specially
chosen site, away from the busy tourist circuit. This secluded
camp offers you the traditional safari experience in one
of Kenya’s most famous wildlife havens.
DAYS 8 & 9 ELEPHANT PEPPER CAMP
Enjoy the spectacular game viewing experience with full
days exploring this vast reserve. Your hosts in camp serve
delicious home cooked north Italian cuisine based on the
Cheli family recipes. Game drives, bush breakfasts, sundowners
and bush walks makes this an unforgettable safari. The
Mara is famous for its prolific big game, predatory cats
and vast antelope herds.
DAY 10 DEPARTURE

back to Nairobi. On arrival at midday, a Cheli & Peacock
representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel
or the international airport for your departure home.
